Effects of Seunggedaibotang ( SGDBT ) on Immunologic control function

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to investigate the effect of SGI)BT on immunologic control function, the various immune responses such as the transformation of lymphocyte, the production of nitric oxide (NO), the population of immune cells in spleen of BALB/C mouse and the hemagglutinin titer and hemolysin titer were studied.
The results were obtained as follows
1. The transformation of lymphocyte was increased significantly in all concentration of SGDBT treated group as compared with negative control.
2. The production of nitric oxide was increased in SGDBT & LPS treated group as compared with negative and positive control and also increased significantly as compared with negative control.
3. In FACS analysis, the population of helper T cell and cytotoxic T cell were increased significantly in SGDBT treated group as compared with normal.
4. The hemagglutinin titer and hemolysin titer were increased insignificantly in SGDBT treated group as compared with control.
From the above results it was concluded that SGDBT showed immunologic control function through the activation of macrophage and helper T cell. So it is expected to be clinically helpful on the prevention and treatment of related disease.
